Travel & Food Photography – Sunny Days On The Isle Of Iona, Oban & Mull

Scotland really is a little slice of Heaven. It is a very unique place with lots of little gems to discover and scrumptious food to taste along the way! Mom and I ended our time in Oban where we took the ferry to visit Mull and the Isle of Iona.  I was so captivated by the beauty and tranquility of Iona that I managed not to eat too much finally and only ending up adding a few photos to my food photography database.  I would love to come back here someday very soon and ride horses all around the isle and maybe even stay a few nights.  It is definitely one of the most peaceful and relaxing places I have ever been.
Mom and I LOVED the Isle of Iona!  It was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful.  There are only a handful of people who live on the island so you can imagine how “away from it all” it feels.  Iona is also the birthplace of Christianity in Scotland!I will say it was very odd to stand on a beach wearing 4 layers and a scarf:)Mom and I REALLY wanted to ride this horse but it would not give us the time of day.Trying to keep up with Mom is a lot of work! Here we go again:)Notice the sheep’s mouth…it was baaaahhhing and running away from me!I would love to work at Iona’s post office…oceanfront views while you work! Before getting back on the ferry to travel back to Oban, Mom and I had tea with scones and clotted cream…YUM!This sheep ESPECIALLY did NOT like me.This is so true.  We were really lucky to get a few sunny days!Behind Mom is the little port town of Oban.  The most AMAZING seafood ever!Definitely my favorite place we stayed in Scotland…great room, super nice owners and delicious breakfasts.  I have found my new favorite kind of pancake…Swedish!  Oban’s harbor is lined with Bed and Breakfast houses – we couldn’t believe how many there were.Mom loves her hydrangeas…they are everywhere in Scotland.Needs no explanation.I think Mom succesfully loved on at least 50 dogs in Scotland.  Notice how this little guy’s paw is resting on Mom’s arm…so sweet!
